Dirk Sanner's Concrete Art Paintings represent classical Concrete Art on the 'Basis of Concrete Painting 1930, Th. v D' also following design principles of the 'De Stijl movement' in a strongly mathematical way:
All artworks are performed by prime number patterns and only show vertical and horizontal structures.
With the PRIME PIANO, the visual system is transferred to a piano keyboard. Eight keys form an octave from C to C and their pitches correspond to the number sequence 1 to 8. The prime numbers contained in the number sequence are the black keys, the remaining numbers the white keys.
